[something white glides through the air, momentarily spinning in a quick circle at the spot of red standing out against the sandy grounds.

is that..? oh! oh!! it is!

building up, this white cloaked figure emits the loudest tuneful chirp it can produce from high in the air. not long before gliding over to the other, soft pitched chirps one after another calling out.

hey!!!]

[bluh! wait, what? a noise?

the red cloak rolls over and sits up right, shaking sand from its head. it blinks bright eyes at the white cloak before it.

white cloak???

immediately its on its feet, chirping incessantly and running a circle around the fellow companion. omg how does it have a white cloak that is so cool omg omg!!]

[once the white cloak comes to a land it watches as its new red companion on the move and soon running around, to which the white cloak only watches in curiosity as it does but being sure to respond to each chirp with one of its own

but not long enough before its quick to follow around too, chirping after it because after all it had been laying on the sand!

were they ok?? were they hurt?? ..well if it can afford to be this excited now, probably not, oh well this traveler does a quick twirl to show

hello hello!!]

[it finally seems to calm down a little and stumble to a stop. blinking bright eyes and still jittering with excitement at this mysterious white cloak, it belated realizes that it's being asked something.

chirping right back, then! no worries, just a little tired. and lost. ... really lost.

;~;]

[these pair of bright eyes watch in turn, cloak fluttering in the breeze brought upon the deserts till it receives the responding chirp.

oh! yes. the heat can be a bit overbearing.. but don't worry, follow and this white cloak will be happy to show you a nice little abandoned temple not far from here.

briefly flutters up in a twirl, scarf glowing as it does, c'mon let's go!! chirp chirp!]

[happy chirps in return! oh, thank goodness! the red cloak was beginning to think it would be lost in this desert forever. even heading for the mountain in the distance had still felt like going in circles. it must've been the heat getting to the red cloak or something.

the cloaked figured hurries after the fellow traveler with a few more excited chirps. after a moment it flaps up off the sand to follow.]

[the white cloak dances in the air for a moment, twirling and turning to spin around the red cloak with high tuneful chirps to light up their own scarf. as she leads the way, though making sure to keep close by to help them along, it shows it was easier flying in the wind than the sun bearing down on you as you walk through the sands.

over a couple of hills and soon enough the temple can be spotted within the distance. see? just like she said!]

[wow the white cloak is so pretty and graceful, flying like that. *^* red cloak is impressed and chirps happily as her flying lights up his scarf to keep him airborne.

well, for a few moments, anyway. there's not much air for flying in a desert and also when the scarf depletes down he falls. but he lands on his feet, stumbling a little but not falling. aha! yes, like she said! there is the mountain again!

a happy chirp and he darts forward... and trips and rolls down the sand dune.

c-close enough.]

[ooohh nooooo!!

a few quick tuneful chirps sound out in a row, the white cloak gliding downwards after the rolling red cloak to land on the sand dune and

start rolling after him

IT'S A RACE! WHO CAN ROLL THE FASTES--oof. He hits the bottom in a heap but immediately hops back up, shaking the sand off him and chirping in laughter. Haha! How fun! You're a fun traveler, friend.

But wait? Something catches his attention and he begins to dart away. There's a long ribbon over there! And some kind of carpet chirping at the ribbon in distress.]

[the white cloak chirps in laughter herself, look at you you're practically buried!! it's very refreshing to find such a energetic traveler. it beats having all that silence before.

..oh? this traveler is a bit familiar with what that is, but instead of explaining or anything.. she just follows after to see what this red cloak will do.]

[He scurries towards it, all curious and fascinated. He's never seen a flying creature before that looked like that! He chirps happily at it and runs in circles, and it squeaks back, but is very insistant about the ribbon.

The red clock pauses and then hops over to it. Seeing it glow when he's near, he knows just what to do.

PING! The biggest one yet that lights up the scarf, causes it to dissipate, and... release another creature instead a cage? :O]

[ CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP

the white cloaked figure is going to chirp excitedly in praise and joy at her red companion for figuring it out on his own, and it released the flying creature to now join its friend in flight!

of course she herself doesn't stay still. she jumps up and as one of the carpets begin to circle her does she twirl and chirp softly to it. she quite enjoyed being affectionate with the flying creatures.

they are darlings ok.]

[*^* WHOA. That looks like fun! He runs in a circle and the flaps up, chirping loudly at one of the flying creatures. Quickly it descends, swoops underneath him and lifts him up!

Now it's flying him up the sandy dune, carrying him onward to some place else. He chirps excitedly. White Cloak, follow! Follow!! Quick!]

[ AHH 8(

in her haste she abandons the flying creature to soar after her red companion, almost a moment of fear she would lose him in this endless sand. her white cloak quickly descends near the grounds before she flies just above the landing to make her glide even more rapidly in an attempt to follow

however, her own flying creature that had flew with her seconds earlier catches up easily and lifts her up to follow after the other effortlessly

oh.. whew! thank goodness then!]

[That was close! :( He's glad she catches up quickly and the scarf creatures continue to carry them pretty far through the desert... then drops them near some ruins. Looks like a wall? What are those markers?

He chirps in confusion and approaches the white cloak, voicing this confusion. What's this??]

[ah! the white cloak chirps in recognition, though it's been some time since she's seen her last. still, as the red cloak's fellow companion, she is happy to show him the sights and places. but at his pace and at his own discovery.

so, she will just nudge gently in the right direction. which she does by moving to one side of the wall near the markers, giving a soft tune in addition to her glow, that lights it up.

turning towards the other side she chirps twice, before looking back to him as though awaiting for him to do the same as she. you can do it!]

[OH! Monkey see, monkey do. He chirps at the other markers, causing the picture to appear on the wall. He shuffles back and blinks, examining the carving. Aha... more images from the past he was beginning to slowly uncover.

More ancestors living on what was once fertile land, from the looks of the picture. He tilts his head and chirps. What does it mean, though? What happened to that fertile land and all the happy ancestors?

He supposed maybe they would find out along the way. All part of the journey, right?]

[As the red cloak suspects, the white cloak does not respond to their inquiry of the meaning to the story, whether it's due to the lack of knowledge or something else- she does not say.

instead, she watches him closely before chirping a few times to imply that they indeed can find out. together, that is. depending on where they travel throughout the journey.

thoughts like that aren't entirely the purpose though. for now, she shuffles over to the broken temples to slip into the shade with a beckoning chirp.]

[He paces around the picture for a moment longer, curious about it still. He really wants the answer but at the same time he knows the answers are probably unhappy ones.

He pauses and then chirps back once, scurrying over to her when she calls. Well, as long as he isn't alone, it'll be okay.]

[Once he comes over is she already shifting to sit down, legs crossing and slipping easily into her meditating position. it's nice to take some time off and simply sit to enjoy the sights or even cool down.

she chirps again for reassurance.]

[Oh! Wise idea! He hurries over after her and sits beside her. He's a little less graceful about it but he manages. He chirps happily and in some relief. Aahh... shade and sitting down. His little feet were hurting from all the walking and running honestly. so this was nice.]

[she chirps twice very quickly, in a sort-of laughter like gesture. it wasn't that she thought he was clumsy but his movements and overall personality was quite adorable. she bows her head just slightly with a close of her eyes to take in some of this calm and peace. though she keeps her hearing open for any movement from either her companion or something else.

such as when a bird like chirp sounds outside the broken temple area, before one of the flying creatures slips in to circle them both in familiar glows. till it decides on resting down in the shade as well.]

[He's way more fidgety than her. He sits mostly still but sometimes shifts side to side or kicks his little foot out to make the sand move. He doesn't have the art of cam meditation down, it seems. But he stays quiet so she can!

But he gets kind of excited when the flying creature comes to them and he chirps enthusiastically. Even when it lays down he chirps at it, though a little quieter. He loves these little guys! They're so amazing!]

[The White Cloak watches quietly, seeing the flying creature float closer at the Red's chirp and giving a tuneful one of its' own in return. Before it circles him again and hovers above with another sound with a luminous glow.

By now the fidgety shifts has moved onto her and she can't sit still either. So she's up, giving a louder chirp than her companion's most recent one.

That riles the flying creature up excitedly, circling around them again and seeming to want to beckon them outside. She glances to her friend, what does he want to do? Follow?]

[He watches the creature dancing and coo at them in return. He scrambles to his feet when his companion stands and chirps rapidly. Of course he wants to follow, as curious as he seems to be about everything. He chirps again and darts back into the hot sun as the cloth creature circles and then begins to lead the way again.

He hurries after it, stops once to chirp at the White Cloak, then rushes back after it. Unsurprisingly, it leads them to another long ribbon billowing about in the dry air. There's several cages here with the cloth creatures in it... huh. Actually, the skeleton lying in the sand that has them trapped looks like a stone creature...

He chirps and hops on one of the blocks, peering at the trapped cloth creatures. The one that lead them here is circling the long ribbon behind him but he doesn't notice yet.]

[With her companion racing after, she joins in easily, but just enough to keep just barely behind him. This is his journey, after all. When they come across the skeleton formation settled into sand, does she slow a bit. Blinking slowly while she gazes at the outstretched stoned armor. Her attention is back to her friend when he chirps, finally finding her feet moving again closer to see what it was he found.

Ah. The trapped clothed creatures.. more so like the one they found earlier. To which she glances to, and she already knows what to do. She hops onto the smooth surface of the block, stepping close to the dull and crumbled scarf swaying in the humid air.

Now does she go to gather her companion's attention. A few chirps to beckon his attention, before showing how the scarf begins to repair itself as she hovers by the beginning of it. Just like before! She chips a few times more, just so he can come and tend to the ribbon himself. Though, she's not far from offering help if he needs it.]

[He turns 180° at her calling and stops facing the wrong way. He pauses for half a second and then turns around to actually face her, chirping back. Oh! Just like last time, right! He knows! He hops away from the cooing cloth creature to join her. He wastes no time, singing loudly and letting a burst of white envelop the ribbon. It repairs and clothes, shimmering for a moment before disappearing.

On cue the stone they stand on rumbles and he chirps in alarm, hoping off in surprise. But it's only the doors opening and the grating screech of metal sliding against metal echos in the quiet desert. But the silence is filled quickly with the happy coos of the cloth creatures. He chirps in happy surprise. Apparently there were several of them trapped here, not just the one he saw.

He quickly jumps back onto another stone and jumps, chirping happily... Oh, it picked him up again! It's carrying him up another hill. Whee!]
